SC PIS­CI­COLA SA, with the head­quar­ters in the vil­lage Adrian, next to town Livada, Satu Mare county, tax code RO11476728, was estab­lished in 1999 fol­low­ing the par­tial divi­sion through pri­va­ti­za­tion of SC ROMPESCO SA Brasov in 2002. Its cur­rent social cap­i­tal is of 8,000,000 RON.

The com­pany owns a fish farm of 311 ha, located in Adrian, town Livada, Satu Mare county, set up between 19701975. Invest­ments of over 1,200, 000 dol­lars were made dur­ing 20022012. Dur­ing 20092012 the farm was ren­o­vated and mod­ern­ized from Euro­pean funds as part of The Oper­a­tional Pro­gram for Fishing.

More than 5,200, 000 EU +VTA were invested in

–the ren­o­va­tion and con­sol­i­da­tion of dams and the unclog­ging of 19 earth fish­ponds of over 175 ha;

–the con­struc­tion of 16 foiled ponds for rais­ing stur­geon, each of them with a sur­face of 650 square metres;

7 foiled ponds for catfish;

36 fish­ponds for perch;

–a hall for the repro­duc­tion and rais­ing of spawns, pro­vided with water treat­ing basin, oxy­gen tanks, water heaters and 10 glass fibre tanks;

- the mod­ern­iza­tion of the fod­der stor­age room;

–an oxy­gen sta­tion and two basins for the fil­ter­ing of water;

–six drilled wells (water tem­per­a­ture 1430 C) to sup­ply water for the stur­geon, cat­fish and perch ponds, in inten­sive recir­cu­la­tory system;

–the mod­ern­iza­tion of the water pump sta­tion on the river Tur by fit­ting up sev­eral last-​generation pumps;

–the con­struc­tion of 2.6 km of water pipeline for sup­ply­ing the earth ponds with water from the river Tur;

–fish­ing tools and spe­cific equipment.

The farm cur­rently raises carp, amur, cat­tfish, big­head, etc., and in the near future we intend to include the rais­ing of stur­geon , perch and other species of fish.

The farm’s yearly pro­duce rises to 400 tones of fish.

In 2003 the com­pany applied for Euro­pean funds of 5,000,000 EU +VTA for the expan­sion of the farm by 125 ha, the con­struc­tion of a fish pro­cess­ing fac­tory and the acqui­si­tion of equip­ment for the pro­duc­tion of fodder.

Fur­ther­more, we intend to build a 1MW pho­to­voltaic park in order to ensure ener­getic auton­omy, pur­chase 78 com­mer­cial estates in sev­eral major cities of the coun­try so as to set up our own retail net­work, and estab­lish a fisherman’s inn.
